BARBARA HOSAKA NAMED PRESIDENT OF NEIGHBORHOOD NATIONAL BANK
San Diego, CA—August 14, 2007—Neighborhood National Bank (NNB) announced today that Barbara Hosaka, the financial institution’s current Chief Operations Officer, has been named bank President, and she will retain her position as COO.
Hosaka will replace NNB founder Robert McGill, who assumed the role of acting President in April 2007. McGill will continue as NNB Chairman and CEO.
With more than 30 years of banking experience, Hosaka brings an exceptional level of experience to her new role as President. Hosaka began her career at NNB in 2001 as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, and was very involved in all phases of building the bank’s operations department.
Prior to joining NNB, she served as EVP at Peninsula Bank of San Diego where she participated in the development of overall policies, programs, objectives and goals as part of the strategic planning process. She also served on various committees such as ALCO Audit, the real estate committee, and as Secretary and President of the local chapter of BAI.
“This year, NNB is celebrating its 10th anniversary, so I am honored to be named President during such an exciting and significant year for the bank,” stated Hosaka. “I look forward to working closely with the current management team in order to continue building on the success that the bank has achieved, as well as furthering its mission to serve as San Diego’s only Community Development Bank.”
